Who I Am

A Coach Who Gets Real Life

I'm not here to sell you quick fixes or motivational posters. I'm a certified resilience coach with 14 years of experience working with hundreds of people across Dublin, Cork, and beyond. I've got a Master's degree in Applied Psychology from University College Dublin and I'm accredited with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy — but what matters more is that I've been exactly where many of my clients are: stuck in a career that didn't fit, wondering if real change was actually possible.

That's why I left corporate management in 2010. After working as a training manager in financial services, I realised the gap between what people needed and what traditional training offered. People didn't need another leadership seminar. They needed help building actual resilience. They needed frameworks that worked in the real Irish context, not imported American self-help theory. So I went back to university, got properly trained, and spent the last decade developing practical approaches that genuinely help people create momentum in their lives.

Whether you're considering a career change, rebuilding after a setback, or just tired of feeling stuck — I work with you to find what actually works for your life. No generic plans. No false promises. Just solid, psychological research combined with practical experience and a healthy dose of Irish straight-talking.

What I Specialise In

Areas Where I Can Help

Resilience & Mindset Building

Real resilience isn't about being tough or never feeling knocked down. It's about knowing how to get back up and move forward. I work with people to understand their patterns, build practical coping strategies, and develop a mindset that handles setbacks without derailing. This includes work on self-compassion, managing anxiety and doubt, and creating sustainable habits that actually stick.

Life Goal Frameworks

I don't believe in vague aspirations. You'll work through a structured goal-setting process that moves from "I want something different" to "Here's my actual plan." This means getting clear on your values, understanding what success looks like for you (not Instagram), and building realistic pathways to get there. I've developed frameworks specifically for Irish professionals navigating mid-career changes and life transitions.

Career Transitions & Reinvention

Whether you're thinking about leaving your job, retraining for something new, or rebuilding after redundancy, career transitions are huge. They're not just logistical — they're psychological. I help you navigate the identity shift, manage the uncertainty, and build confidence in your next chapter. This is where my own experience changing careers directly informs my work.

Positive Mindset Development

Positive mindset isn't about toxic positivity or pretending everything's fine. It's about rewiring how you approach challenges, building realistic optimism, and developing genuine confidence in your ability to handle what comes. I combine cognitive behavioural techniques with positive psychology to help you move from stuck thinking patterns to more resourceful ones.

My Method

How I Work With Clients

Evidence-based, practical, and grounded in real Irish life

My approach combines cognitive behavioural techniques with positive psychology research. That's the formal stuff. In practice, it means I'll help you understand your patterns, challenge the thoughts that hold you back, and build new habits that actually work in your real life — not in some theoretical perfect world.

I don't work from templates. Every client gets a personalised framework based on their specific situation, their values, and what they're trying to achieve. We'll spend time understanding what's actually blocking you, then build practical strategies you can use immediately. Most clients notice real shifts within 4-6 weeks of consistent work.

I'm also straight with people. If something isn't working, I'll tell you. If you need to make a bigger change than you initially thought, we'll talk about that honestly. My job isn't to make you feel good temporarily — it's to help you create genuine, sustainable change.
